Just west of St. Louis, you'll find St. Charles, a river city with a unique historical perspective, beautiful sites, friendly people, and a pace just a little slower than that of the big city. Founded as Les Petites Cotes (The Little Hills) by French Canadian fur trader Louis Blanchette, St. Charles, Missouri grew into a thriving riverfront trading center for a young America. Make memories amid the illustrious history. St. Charles. A little mysterious - a lot of fun. St. Charles is historically awesome, rich in culture, and downright abundant with playful experiences. --A perfect home for the USLC 2025!

St. Charles, Missouri is Historically Awesome!

More than 200 years ago two brave men launched one of the most amazing adventures of all time. President Thomas Jefferson asked Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to find a route to the Pacific coast.

In 1804, they left from St. Charles to explore new lands to the Pacific Ocean. During their journey, Lewis and Clark came face-to-face with many wild animals, discovered unknown plants, and encountered many American Indian cultures. The Lewis and Clark Boat House and Museum is a great place to learn more about the path Lewis and Clark took. The gift shop is filled with the unusual American Indian artwork they found during their travels.

St. Charles has over 25 restaurants, over 150 shops, and a constantly evolving events calendar - there's a new experience around every historically awesome corner! Including the USLC 2025!

Just a short drive away, you'll find Historic Missouri Wine Country. Home to America's First American Viticulture Area, the roots of Missouri's vineyards run deep in the history of American Wine. Today you will find an assortment of gorgeous vineyards, full of delightful flavors to enjoy, each with its view of our beautiful stretch of Missouri River country.

Just 25 minutes away is downtown St. Louis with the Arch, riverfront, and historic Laclede's Landing. At Forest Park, the site of the 1904 World's Fair, discover the world-renowned St. Louis Zoo, Art Museum, Science Center, and Missouri History Museum. Cheer at Busch Stadium for Cardinals baseball. Stroll the world-class Missouri Botanical Garden. Visit unique neighborhoods such as Soulard's historic farmer's market, the Central West End's boutiques/antiques, and the funky, fun Delmar Loop.

While you plan on attending the USLC 2025, take some time to plan your visit, and you’ll quickly understand why St. Charles is renowned for its past and celebrated for its future!
