Please Participate in an International Collection of Data by the University of Padua in Italy

Since 2020, the University has gathered information that is used to evaluate the environmental and genotypic influences on the composition of lavender essential oils. The data about the plants, themselves, and where they are planted have shown very interesting results. To date, their results highlighted a large variability among samples of L. Angustifolia and L. x intermedia, differing for cultivation site, year of production, and variety.

With these things in mind, the University has created a global database to collect essential oil samples from a medley of lavender varieties that originated in disparate locations.
